 | | VWR INTERNATIONAL, LLC ACQUIRES OMNILAB AG, SWITZERLAND | | | VWR International, LLC | | 02/10/2008 | | | VWR International, LLC, a leading global laboratory supply company, announced today that it has acquired OMNILAB AG, a Swiss scientific laboratory supply distributor headquartered in Mettmenstetten near Zurich.
OMNILAB was founded in 1990 and is one of Switzerland’s largest independent suppliers of laboratory equipment and consumables. OMNILAB is recognized for its product-technical and service-oriented approach to its customers. It is a very well represented name in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and industrial scientific market segments, servicing both customers in the public and private sectors. OMNILAB’s core business of supplying instrumentation, consumables and services complements VWR’s local expertise in chemicals, consumables and life science products.
